Applicants must be able to work outside for extended periods of time, be able to lift of push heavy items, have good interpersonal skills and be able to work a flexible schedule as weekend and holidays shifts will be required.
Part time: Applicants must be flexible in hours and days including weekends and holidays, as schedule is subject to change pending business levels and weather conditions. Must be detailed oriented, organized, outgoing, good interpersonal skills, have knowledge of computer programs. Duties may include playing tennis and retail counter sales. Must be able to lift 30lbs as court maintenance responsibilities will be required.
Prioritizes irrigation breaks and uses time efficiently. Operates, maintains and repairs on a complex irrigation system, including isolation valves, electrical system, irrigation control towers along with leaks on the distribution lines and sprinkler heads. Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Superintendent/Assistant and maintains a log of completed repairs. Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system. Performs other duties as required. Prior golf course maintenance and irrigation experience is desired.
Preferred qualifications include performing routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment. Responsible for appropriately applying all chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers associated with grounds and golf course maintenance. Desire Florida BMP and Fertilizer Applicator certification. Hold a valid Florida Driver’s License. Able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. Able to work outside in higher temperatures.
On call position. Qualified applicants will be able to handle multiple assignments, remain calm in stress situations and have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Security background helpful but not required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
